Our Story

Woodsmith Construction opened its doors in 2001 and was founded on the belief that it is possible to provide great work and excellent customer service simultaneously. Those core values have helped make us into the successful home renovation company we are today. One that has been able to stand the test of time by providing a transparent and accountable service that makes our process enjoyable from start to finish. Our founder Christopher Smith comes from a family of designers and builders. He grew up on a construction site and has always loved everything that goes into renovating older homes. His love of making new what was old again remains to this day and you can tell anytime you get him talking. Our team also shares that love and it is at the heart of everything we do. We know that with our process of renovating homes for our customers, the result is always an exceptional new home and a very pleased customer.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help Toronto-East communities revitalize and rebuild their homes into incredible dream homes and spaces. Making sure to do so while also maintaining a great customer experience that is second to none. We achieve this by maintaining the highest standards throughout our process, which is both Accountable and Transparent, so our clients are well informed about what they need to know when they need to know it. Thus ensuring our client’s experience designing, building, or renovating their home is as good as the finished product. We are only finished once our clients are happy.
